Iran is becoming bolder and more aggressive by the day as the U.S. government continues to show absolutely no willingness to do anything about either their nuclear program or their sponsorship of terrorism.  In a dramatic escalation, Iran has officially announced a plan for 10 new industrial scale uranium enrichment facilities and has earmarked approximately 20 million dollars for terrorist groups fighting the West.  As we have written about previously, Israel simply cannot allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon.  Iran may be emboldened by the seeming weakness of the United States at this present time, but the reality is that Iran’s actions are putting them on an inevitable path towards war – an end result which the majority of their population surely would not want. 

The biggest new development is the Iranian government’s approval of a plan on Sunday to build 10 industrial scale uranium enrichment facilities.  This represents a massive expansion of their nuclear program, and is in direct defiance of U.N. demands that it halt enrichment.

This action by the Iranian government comes only days after the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency censured Iran regarding its recent actions and demanded that they halt the construction of a recently revealed uranium enrichment facility.

Concerning these new facilities, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that Iran will need to install 500,000 centrifuges throughout the 10 planned enrichment facilities in order to produce approxiamtely 250 to 300 tons of fuel per year.

But of course we all know that Iran has much more in mind than that.

The truth is that they want nuclear weapons and they are not going to stop until they get them.

Once Iran gets them, where will they end up?

That is the real danger.

You see, Iran is openly a state sponsor of terrorism and nobody seems to be willing to do anything about it.

Iran’s parliament passed a stunning new law on Sunday which earmarked approximately 20 million dollars to support terrorist groups fighting the West. 

Something does not seem quite right when we all have to be groped by airport security before we get on an airplane, but Iran can openly send 20 million dollars to terrorist groups fighting the U.S. and Israel and get away with it.

Meanwhile, Russia and Iran have just agreed on new oil and gas deals.

That is just one reason why economic sanctions will not work.

Russia and China will not go along with them, so any economic sanctions will be totally ineffective.

So what is the answer?

War?

War with Iran would be a total and complete disaster.  Iran has a far more advanced military and is much more powerful than Iraq ever was.  Iran would not be a pushover for anyone.  A whole article could be written about the horrible military and economic consequences of war with Iran.

But Israel cannot allow Iran to have nuclear weapons.

Israel recognizes this and has publicly stated this over and over.

But Iran is refusing to back down.  Instead they seem determined to play this bizarre game of nuclear chicken.

If there is not a fundamental change by one side or the other there is going to be a military conflict.

Evangelical Christians tend to get excited about such a prospect, and even though we are to expect such developments in the last days, the truth is that war is always horrible.  If it comes many people will die and it will not be something to rejoice about.

We live at a time when the signs of the last days are literally being fulfilled right in front of our eyes.  One of the most exciting signs that Bible prophecy students love to keep an eye on are preparations for the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple.  In a previous article, we discussed how the Temple Institute in Jerusalem took a giant step towards the rebuilding of the Temple by beginning to rebuild the sacrificial altar.  Now it has been revealed that the Temple Institute has already spent approximately 27 million dollars on preparations for the rebuilding of the Temple, and that the Temple Institute intends for this future Temple to be a house of prayer for all “monotheistic religions”.

The executive director of the Temple Institute, Yehuda Glick, says that a large portion of the financial support for the Temple Institute actually comes from evangelical Christians….. 

”There are 70 million evangelical Christians around the world, and most of them have become Israel’s strongest supporters.”

So what have all these funds gone towards so far?  Well, the truth is that the Temple Instituted has been extremely busy.  The Temple Institute Museum in Jerusalem’s Old City contains solid gold service vessels, trumpets made of silver, garments to be worn by future priests made from golden thread, copper urns and many, many other items that have been painstakingly designed to Biblical specifications for use in the future Temple.

So when will this Temple be built?

According to Glick, it will depend on when the Messiah shows up…..

”It could well be tomorrow, but it might be another 100 years, or even 400 years.”

Most Christians understand that Judaism believes that the third temple will be built upon the arrival of the Messiah, but what most Christians do not realize is that the Temple Institute envisions a future Temple that will be “a house of prayer open to all believers in the monotheistic faiths” – Christians, Muslims or Jews.

In fact, Glick says that the Al-Aqsa mosque does not need to be removed for the new Temple to be built. 

”Al-Aqsa can stay,” Glick is quoted in The Age as saying.  ”It’s not even on the Temple Mount proper. But we intend to just build over the Dome of the Rock. We might be able to find a way to include it in the third temple.”

As surprising as this may be to many evangelical Christians, the truth is that Glick is far from alone in this belief.

For example, A stunning article that was published in the leading journal of religious law in Israel envisioned a scenario under which a “holy revelation” is given to an “authentic prophet” who would authorize that the Temple be rebuilt in peaceful proximity to the Al-Aqsa mosque and nearby Christian shrines.  This article echoed Glick’s sentiments by discussing the potential for turning the Temple Mount into “God’s Holy Mountain” – a “house of prayer” for all people (Isaiah 56:7).

In fact, there is even a Jewish website promoting a vision of “God’s Holy Mountain” where all faiths would worship together:

This website depicts a harmonious future for the Temple Mount where Muslims, Christians and Jews mingle and pray between the Dome of the Rock and a rebuilt Jewish Temple.

This project is headed up by Jewish members of the Interfaith Encounter Association.  This organization is actively encouraging all three religions to adopt a new theological outlook which would allow all three faiths to worship on the Temple mount.

Of course those of us who study the Scriptures know what God would think about such plans.

But could the Antichrist someday pose as the Jewish Messiah and use such expectations to promote the use of the rebuilt Temple for his one world religion? 

It is something to think about.

In any event, preparations for the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple are heating up as never before, and as students of the prophecies of the last days this is something that we need to continually keep an eye on.

We live at a time when we are literally watching Bible prophecy being fulfilled right in front of our eyes. In fact, things are now happening with such lightning speed that it is hard just to keep up with it all. Recent events out of Europe are another startling indication of just how close to the last days we actually are. Not only was Herman Van Rompuy just selected to be the very first “President of Europe”, but he is openly calling for a “Euro tax” that will go directly to the European Union, and he has openly declared 2009 to be “the first year of global governance”. For a “President of Europe” to so quickly call for a “Euro tax” and “global governance” is absolutely stunning.

The idea for a “Euro tax” is actually not new. The European commission’s head, José Manuel Barroso, has already called for a new Euro tax, and Mr. Van Rompuy says that he intends to push hard for the implementation of that proposal when he takes office in January.  The proposed tax will be a European version of a “Tobin Tax” – a tax on financial transactions which was already proposed by Gordon Brown as a solution to the international banking crisis.

Mr. Van Rompuy expressed his support for this Euro tax during a private speech at a recent meeting of the Bilderberg group.  All meetings of the Bilderberg group are supposed to be secret, but fortunately details of Van Rompuy’s speech got out.

In defense of this new tax, Van Rompuy recently was quoted by a major U.K. newspaper as saying this…..

“The financing of the welfare state, irrespective of the social reform we implement, will require new resources.”

This new Euro tax could potentially show up on all shopping and gas station receipts.  Many observers wonder how it will affect anti-EU sentiment when consumers start seeing a European tax show up on their shopping receipts.

But not only is Van Rompuy pushing for a European tax, he is also openly championing global government.  In fact, during a recent speech he declared 2009 to be the “first year of global governance” and that the upcoming Copenhagen Treaty will be “another step towards the global management of our planet”.

What in the world?

Since when did anyone agree to the global management of the planet?

But the Scriptures tell us that one day a world government will exist.

Now Mr. Van Rompuy seems very excited to do whatever he can to push us towards that.  Posted below is his full quote about global government, and beneath that you can watch a video of him making these comments during a recent speech….. 

“2009 is also the first year of global governance, with the establishment of the G20 in the middle of the financial crisis. The climate conference in Copenhagen is another step towards the global management of our planet.”

The reality is that these events are just another step towards the revived Roman Empire that the prophet Daniel told us would one day come.  One day the Antichrist will use “global governance” to force “everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.” (Revelation 13:16-17)

A play depicting Jesus as a gay man was performed in front of a packed church sanctuary in California last weekend.  Only a handful of protesters demonstrated outside of The Church of the Foothills in Santa Ana, California during the performance.  The play, which is entitled “Corpus Christi”, depicts Jesus as a gay man living in the 1950s in Corpus Christi, Texas.  This is yet another sign of how close to the last days we actually are.

The “pastor” of  The Church of the Foothills, Michael Holland, made the following comments regarding the decision by his church to host the play….

“The Bible does not condemn homosexuality as an orientation, it condemns certain homoerotic acts which had nothing to do with people being in love, like we’re doing today.”

“Jesus was about love and inclusion and affirming people as children of God, and that’s what we’re doing tonight.”

The Church of the Foothills has hosted same sex marriage rallies in the past and held the very first same sex wedding in the Tustin area back in June.

Just what in the world is going on when the vast majority of Christians are no longer shocked to hear about a play that depicts Jesus as a homosexual?

Just what in the world is going on when that play is actually performed inside a packed church?

The truth is that a huge number of churches have completely abandoned the Bible and have instead surrounded themselves with “pastors” and “priests” who will tell them whatever they want to hear.

In 2 Timothy 4:3, the apostle Paul told us that days like these would come…. 

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

The hour is late and we are living in the last days my friends.  The church mentioned above is just one example of the rank apostasy plaguing the church in America.  The truth is that the vast majority of “ministers”, “pastors” and “priests” currently “serving” in the United States should immediately resign.  The truth is that the majority of churches in the United States should immediately close their doors in disgrace. 

The “church” in America is in an advanced state of apostasy.  Very few churches in the United States ever preach about sin, judgment, heaven or hell anymore.  Very few churches in the United States believe in the basic doctrines of Scripture anymore.

That is why so many people are leaving these dead denominations.  Nobody should sit there and listen to these jokers as they openly deny the Word of God.  If you are sitting there in a dead, apostate church it is time to get out.

Inspired by a former nun, The Charter For Compassion, composed by leading thinkers in many different faiths, was unveiled to the public on Thursday, November 12th.  At first glance, The Charter for Compassion sounds very noble as it encourages everyone to embrace the “principle of compassion” that “lies at the heart of all religious, ethical and spiritual traditions”.  However, it is when the document calls for “a positive appreciation” of “religious diversity” that its agenda becomes clear.  The truth is that The Charter For Compassion represents yet another huge step towards a one world religion, and a bunch of big names are openly supporting it.  The charter’s growing list of “affirmers” includes the Dalai Lama, Queen Noor of Jordan, Grand Mufti of Egypt Sheikh Ali Gomaa, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, author Deepak Chopra, author Sir Ken Robinson, actress Goldie Hawn and musician Paul Simon.

The Charter For Compassion sprang from a wish former nun Karen Armstrong was granted in 2008 at a prestigious Technology, Entertainment and Design Conference.  Armstrong is a British author who has penned quite a few works on comparative religion, including the highly successful “A History Of God”.  She has long promoted the idea that all major religious traditions have the same core truths.

Now she has enlisted major religious leaders from across the globe to write and promote The Charter For Compassion, which is little more than a thinly veiled attempt to promote a one world religion.  The Charter For Compassion is posted online in seven different languages, and you can view it for yourself right here…..

The document itself is quite short, and the key language is actually found mostly in the 3rd paragraph.

In the 3rd paragraph, The Charter For Compassion states that it is time for humanity “to return to the ancient principle that any interpretation of scripture that breeds violence, hatred or disdain is illegitimate”.

First of all, where in the world did the authors of this document come up with this ancient principle?

The truth is that they have come up with it out of thin air.

It is certainly not a Christian principle.

I wonder how John 14:6 would be “interpreted” by the authors.

John 14:6 says this…..

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

That seems clear enough.

Jesus says that He is the only way to God.

But not according to The Charter For Compassion.

According to The Charter For Compassion, we are “to ensure that youth are given accurate and respectful information about other traditions, religions and cultures”.

The reality is that this goes directly against how God directed us to live in the Ten Commandments.

In Exodus 20:3-6, God instructs us in the first two of the Ten Commandments that we are to have nothing to do with other gods…..

“You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments.”

But you see that just doesn’t fly in today’s new “politically correct” world.

Instead, The Charter For Compassion commands us “to encourage a positive appreciation of cultural and religious diversity”.

Compare that language with what God told the people of Israel in Deuteronomy 8:19…..

If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed.

The truth is that the Lord God does not tolerate the worship of idols or false gods.

He never has and He never will.

But for the drafters of The Charter For Compassion, any “god” that you want to believe in is fine, just as long as you “respect” all of the other “gods” that other people want to worship.

In addition, for the drafters of The Charter For Compassion, “a positive appreciation of cultural and religious diversity” means that you should never try to “evangelize” people from other religions because that just would not be very “tolerant” of you.

But the reality is that if you love others, you will help them find eternal life through Jesus Christ.

In John 3:36 it says this…..

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.”

That is what the truth is.  Those who belong to Jesus will have eternal life.  All others will not.

That may sounds “intolerant” to the drafters of The Charter For Compassion, but it is the loving truth.

What the drafters of The Charter For Compassion are doing is promoting the establishment of a one world religion which will one day worship the Antichrist as “the one” that all the major world religions have been waiting for.

Years ago, God gave modern prophets such as Henry Gruver and Dumitru Duduman visions of the nuclear destruction of America.  At the time many people scoffed and laughed because they could not see how anyone would ever dare attack the United States considering the fact that we had thousands of nuclear missiles ready to obliterate anyone who messed with us.  However, times have radically changed.  Now Barack Obama is proposing to strip America’s nuclear arsenal down to just a few hundred deployed nuclear warheads, and there has not been any uproar about it.  Will Barack Obama’s policy of extreme disarmament set the stage for the nuclear destruction of America in the last days as foreseen by Henry Gruver and Dumitru Duduman?

A number of months ago in Prague, Barack Obama openly called for a world free of nuclear weapons during one of his first major foreign policy speeches.

When many politicians speak of such “pie in the sky” proposals, people do not take them seriously.

But it turns out that Barack Obama was deadly serious.

In fact, Barack Obama is now demanding that the U.S. military conduct a “radical review” of the U.S. nuclear weapons program in preparation for “deep cuts” to America’s nuclear arsenal.

So how “deep” is deep?

Well, right now the United States military has about 2,600 nuclear warheads deployed, with another 2,500 in reserve and 4,000 more that are scheduled to be dismantled.

But the Obama administration wants to change all that.

Barack Obama has been working hard to negotiate a deal with the Russians to reduce the nuclear arsenals of both the United States and Russia to 1,500 warheads.

However, the Obama administartion views those cuts as only a first step towards even larger cuts.

According to the Guardian, Barack Obama completely rejected the U.S. military’s first draft of the “nuclear posture review”.

So just why did Barack Obama reject the report?

According to reports it was far “too timid” for Obama.

Obama is not interested in slight cuts to America’s nuclear arsenal.

Obama wants to almost completely eliminate it.

Instead of the arsenal of thousands of deployed nuclear warheads that the United States has now, the Obama administration envisions a U.S. nuclear arsenal with only a few hundred deployed nuclear warheads.  Reportedly, the eventual goal is to completely abolish nuclear weapons altogether.

The Guardian quotes one anonymous European official as saying the following about how Barack Obama is approaching nuclear disarmament: “Obama is now driving this process. He is saying these are the president’s weapons, and he wants to look again at the doctrine and their role.”

What in the world?

Since when did the U.S. nuclear weapons that are protecting America become Barack Obama’s weapons?

But apparently the Obama administration is convinced that “the Cold War” is over and that the U.S. will never need a large nuclear arsenal again.

However, the truth is that a large strategic nuclear arsenal is the only thing that has been keeping America safe for the past five or six decades.  The Soviet Union had conventional military forces that were far larger than the U.S. had, and it was only our strategic weapons that kept them from attacking us or from trying to aggressively expand their empire into Europe.

But the threat of the Soviet Union is in the past, isn’t it?

No, it is not.

The truth is that Russia is stronger today than it has been in ages, and now China has emerged as an ally of Russia and a very powerful strategic threat in their own right.

Part of the deal that Obama is negotiating with the Russians would allow the Russians to inspect U.S. nuclear sites.

If the U.S. dramatically reduces the size of their strategic nuclear arsenal, and if the Russians know exactly where those weapons are, it will be much easier to take out the vast majority of America’s nukes in a devastating first strike.

So how would Russia do such a thing?

The truth is that Russia’s next generation subs are so quiet that they can creep all the way up to U.S. coastlines without even being detected most of the time.

The U.S. military was certainly stunned recently to learn that two Russian nuclear submarines had been patrolling off the east coast of the United States.

According to news reports, two Akula class nuclear-powered submarines were lurking in international waters just 200 miles of the U.S. coast.

From such a position, subs such as those could rain nukes down on the United States in as little as 5 minutes.

According to the Times, Naval historian Norman Polmar considered this action by the Russians to be highly unusual: “I don’t think they’ve put two first-line nuclear subs off the US coast in about 15 years.”

Russia has also recently resumed flying their strategic bombers along NATO borders. About these flights, Russia’s deputy chief of general staff, Anatoly Nogovitsyn, recently said this:

“This is our right — we felt bored making circles along our internal routes.”

While the vast majority of the American people have no inkling of the Russian threat, the truth is that the Russian military has made a dramatic comeback.

Russia and China both view the United States as their number one enemy, and both nations have accelerated their military programs.

Meanwhile the U.S. pours all of its resources into trying to find terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Any terrorists hiding in caves in the Middle East are not the major threat that the United States should be concerned about.

What the U.S. should be concerned about is the super silent Russian subs that could one day rain down nukes on American cities.

In fact, quite a few modern prophets have prophesied that this is EXACTLY how the Russians will one day attack the United States.

For instance, the video posted below contains Henry Gruver’s shocking vision of Russian submarines attacking the United States with nuclear missiles…..

Another example is found in this next video.  The late Romanian prophet Dumitru Duduman was also given a vision of American cities being destroyed by nuclear weapons….

The reality is that the United States should be incredibly concerned about Russian submarines patrolling off the U.S. coastline.

But instead Barack Obama wants to strip the U.S. nuclear arsenal down to almost nothing in the name of “peace”.

Well, the truth is that Barack Obama’s “peace” could lead to the nuclear destruction of American cities someday.

If the prophets above are right, that is exactly what is going to happen.
