One of the basic tenets of human society is the right to raise one’s offspring in the culture of one’s choice. The right to choose what I shall and shall not teach my child. What observances, religious or otherwise, will be honored in my house. Unless I am abusing my child physically, or sexually, etc. the state has NO RIGHT to interfere!

Just because some don’t believe in God, doesn’t mean that I don’t have a RIGHT to teach my child that He is there!

The real reason behind these scare stories about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is the panic some have that their children may have the right to choose their religion instead of being forced to accept what they are told by their parents. Children are not property.
